ANGEL INVESTING AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP FROM USA TO TURKEY

Orange County Türk-Amerikan Derneği (OCTAA) önderliği ve Orange County Türk Teknoloji Profesyonelleri (TTP-OC) işbirliği ile Güney Kaliforniya’da yaşayan, çalışan ve okuyan Türkleri profesyonel bağlamda biraraya getirmek amacıyla düzenlediğimiz toplantılara “ABD’den Türkiye’ye Melek Yatırımcılık ve Girişimcilik” (“Angel Investing and Entrepreneurship from US to Turkey”) konusuyla devam ediyoruz. Yeni bilgiler ve iş bağlantıları edinmek, kariyer tavsiyesi almak ve deneyimlerini paylaşmak isteyen herkes davetlidir.

A general assembly meeting was held at the Norman Murray community center in Mission Viejo on November 11, 2012. Chair Mehmet Ali Tan opened the official meeting at 14:45 and provided an annual summary for the attendees. The quorum for elections was achieved per the current Bylaws (15% of the current membership).
  • The accomplishments of the organization and the outgoing board during the past year have been discussed;
  • The General Assembly voted to accept the resignation of Vice President, Ugur Dundar, for personal reasons;
  • On behalf of the Board, President Mehmet Ali Tan recognized the following members for their outstanding contribution to the organization:
           – Rabia Tan
– Ozcan Tan
– Ayca Altintig
– Ruya Urso
The General Assembly nominated and elected the following officers:
           – Aycan Iskent-Ekener as Corporate Executive Secretary
– Sibel Turfanda as Vice-President
– Javid Huseynov as President
           – Burak Evcimen as Membership Chair
Congratulations to our new members of the Board of Directors, and thanks to all
members who participated in this election.
