Celebrating Teachers' Day and honoring the educators who shape our community's future.
👨🏫 Happy Teachers' Day! 👩🏫
November 24th marks Teachers' Day in Turkey — a day to honor and celebrate the dedication of educators everywhere.
A Legacy of Education
On this day in 1928, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was given the title of "Head Teacher" (Başöğretmen) in recognition of his pioneering role in Turkey's education reforms and the adoption of the new Turkish alphabet.
Teachers are the foundation of every thriving society. They inspire, guide, and shape the minds of future generations.
Our Community's Teachers
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
- 📚 Orange County Turkish School (OCTS) teachers and volunteers
- 🎓 AKM Youth mentors and educators
- 👨👩👧👦 All parents who dedicate themselves to teaching Turkish language and culture
Thank you for preserving our heritage and nurturing the next generation of Turkish Americans.
💙 Happy Teachers' Day to all educators in our community!
